Zed or Zee?

So this Dublin radio station now has a section called the A to Zee of rock music . . .

Do you say Zed or Zee?

I was brought up to say x, y, zed.

Has the letter 'zee' now replaced zed in the alphabet on this side of the pond? or is the use of the American 'zee' a minorty sport as practised by 'very cool' Dublin radio DJs

Depends. If I'm spelling something it's usually zed but if I'm singing the alphabet song it's always zee

Although Country Folk insert the unnecessary 'a' prefix

'A Zed'. My mum does it all the time.

If its a capital letter, as in I'm spelling out s word that starts with Z then I'll pronounce it Zed. If it's a lower case then it's zee. Does that make me weird?

I worked with a country woman before who always added the 'a-' before any zed word.

"I'm going to the a-zoo."
"That stripey horsey looks like an a-zebra."

I still say 'zed'. From the Greek 'Zeta'. Even though I'm country-ish, I'm a bit cultured.
