Citreon Particle Filter Additive Level too low

    Apologies if this is the wrong forum.

    My wife is driving a 2009 Citreon C4 Grand Picasso 1.6 HDI and yesterday after filling up a warning message came up on the dashboard indicating that the "Diesel Particle Filter Additive Level too low".

    I rang a dealer but cannot get the car in till next week but we need the car this weekend to do a 220km round trip.

    Does anyone know if there is a range that is ok to travel before the car goes into limp mode?
    Any information would be great.

    I don't think the 09 PSA HDi engines used AdBlue, they used Eolys DPF additive back then. A main dealer will charge you a pretty penny to top that up.

    Yes looks like no easy Adblue fill, says main dealer or qualified workshop to refill, see page 322...

    Yup, the price I got was around 230 euro including VAT and Labour.
    I understand that I have to pay it and get it done, booked in for Monday.

    Still wondering if anyone knows whether it will be ok to drive for the weekend?

    It will be fine to drive for the weekend,it's low not empty.

    Resurecting this thread as this service notice has also come up on my Citroen, have a 1500 km trip coming up, will it be OK to complete?
