Rebuilding old lego set? (Millennium Falcon)

Hi all, I was just wondering what is the best way to rebuild an old lego set from scratch? Unfortunately my dog ended up knocking over my Millennium Falcon I got years ago into a million pieces. Any tips or shortcuts are appreciated!
