    Hi

As title says iv recently broken my leg, i took the stamped filled in by my doctor mc1 or mc2 cert not sure which the first is to social welfare office today, they closed my claim and said I didnt qualified for illness benefit and would have to see community welfare officer to get payment, does anyone know how this works? Iv surgery soon and won't be mobile to be going in and out,

What will I need bring to the community officer and will i have to see her weekly to get paid? I'm really in bother cause I live 20miles from the office and can't drive atm, need cabs at €25 each way

Any help be great as I'm bit worried about having long wait for payment or worse nothing at all.

    Thank you

Phone them and describe your situation. SW officers used to come around in person to people in your situation.
