    Hi all

Just wondering if anyone can help? If I am doing a fas/intreo course and my situation financially changes do I have to inform the social welfare? I'm just unsure as while I'm doing the course I won't be on the live register??

    Thanks in advance

    Is this what your after

Jobseeker's Allowance or Supplementary Welfare Allowance

Since 1 January 2014, if you are a new participant aged 26 or over and getting Jobseeker's Allowance (JA) or Supplementary Welfare Allowance (SWA) you will have your payment suspended, but you will get a FET training allowance of the same amount. The rules that apply to your original social welfare payment also apply to your FET training allowance. This means that if your circumstances change, for example, if your dependant gets a job, their income will be assessed as means and your FET training allowance may be reduced. You must inform your local social welfare office or Intreo centre of any changes to your circumstances.

Thank you for your reply. I couldn't find anything in the website when I looked. I was just curious as when I done a course in 2014 and my circumstances changed they only back paid me for the weeks I was on the live register and not for the duration of my course. Thanks again
