If its cvt ( which most of those sin carnet's are) then it wont actually stop, but will just go really slow if going up hill. By then it would be quicker ( and infinitely more comfortable) to get out and walk.....

I would actually really like it... You can't say any of you have seen another one on the road in this country :D

Not always a good thing but at least it's interesting.

Someone went to see that Beemer and it was a dog if I remember correctly?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,086 ✭✭✭✭Duke O Smiley

I remember Unkel posting it a few weeks ago but didn't hear that someone went to see it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,120 ✭✭✭✭unkel

Yeah it looked great on paper, but it turned out to be a bit tired according to B00056718, who went to see it. He reckoned the owner will take any money for it. And it does have a long NCT, so if you're not fussy, it's probably yours for €250 and you could drive it for the guts of a year :)

Ah sorry, didn't realise that had been up already :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,120 ✭✭✭✭unkel

No worries, I reckon it would still make someone in here a half decent (free) car. Buy for €250 and drive until the NCT runs out. Then sell wheels + premium tyres after you've driven the car to a dismantlers. Or put it up for €300 and accept a €250 offer :D

Which one are you talking about? The E36 compact or E46 saloon?

Looks ok but the spelling mistakes would put one right off. If you are placing an advert learn how to spell correctly.

I know! That 2nd Mayo one is SO bad! I see it's already dropped to 550 this morning from 650 last night and thats even with a full service history from the diler and only 2 olners :D

Cars don't spell, at this end of the market who cares who youre buying off? Literacy is not important at all.

I've bought cars off the least desirable people you can imagine, but you're buying solely on condition when it's banger time! You're buying the car, not the seller!

Probably a bit steep at 2000 but looks well and hopefully well maintained

Its down as a taxi so the tax is technically void, but its NCT'd till 6/17. Hi-vis jacket on the parcel shelf and you'll never been tailgated again :D €1250

I do quite like these but €1k tax is not attractive at all. NCT to 4/17 for €1k though.

I think I've seen ad's for that going up and down over the last month. Might of been similar setup in the pictures, but just something to think about if anyone is off to look at it.

    Indeed we're not,

But you'll miss out on some great bargains by expecting every flutebag in the country to have sales experience along with good spelling & grammar.

I remember posting one of these as the defenition of bangernomics about 3/4 years ago, with the mileage I'd guess it doesn't even burn a drop of oil, as ugly and bland and boring as they are, they're extremely reliable & frugal. It's a shame insurance is such a ball ache on the older stuff these days, probably not the definition anymore..

Not a V6 but a V8! NCT'd to 4/17 and taxed to 10/16. Looks well maintained and its allegedly had a main dealer service as recently as February. All for €1950

Lexus seems to have done quite well in Ireland judging by the amount of GSs for sale.

Once again, Summer is over so here come the bargain cabriolets and this is no exception imo. Irish car with one owner, claimed 74k and FSH, NCT to August 17 essentially so it'll see you through most of next Summer, and its taxed to 10/16...for €750. A bargain I think

I like this. A 325ti with NCT to 3/17 for €1k. No mileage listed but it looks to me like the NCT cert reads 140k. Looks like it was a trade in to Joe duffy BMW off the m50..
