    Hi,

I work for Aviva and I'm self employed for them. I travel 1 hour every day to my place of work.. Am I able to claim travel expenses back on my diesel at the end of every year? Or am I only aloud to claim when I leave my place of work to where I drive to meet a client?

    Thanks in advance

If Aviva is your only client and their office is your 'normal place of work', then no travelling from home to their office would not be allowable.

You say you work for AVIVA but are self-employed by them at I'm assuming one of their offices? Are you actually an employee under a contract of service rather than a contract for service?

You can't claim for travelling to your normal place of work.

You can claim if you are travelling to meet a client but it is also restricted, the revenue introduced new rules this year
