Comparing price estimates for work

Can I post up here a few quotes I received for various jobs just to get a sense of whether they are average or steep?

The alternative I can see is that I would need to get quotes on -snip-but seems like a messy way to go around it if I really am just trying to compare rates.

Don't put the contractors names up. Just put the itemized quite up.
Are all contractors quoting exactly like for like?

I've just had the one company quote for a range of jobs I need done. They'll be on-site for a separate insurance-related fixer-upper so just handy to tack on a few of my own jobs.

I didn't want to tender out the jobs unless the quoted prices are really wide of the mark.

Here are the jobs and quoted prices (ex VAT)...

    - Removing old ceramic pedestal sink and installing new one (including price for new sink/pedestal): €580
    (not including taps)

    - Covering 8.16 sq m torch flat roof with new layer of Soprema: €652.80

    - Install new lead flashing along flat roof (4m sq): €200
+ Fix new expanding metal strip and metal stop bead over lead: €72
    + Replaster over same: €140

    - Disconnect old Drop-in sink and install new one: €90

    - Cut open external waste pipe and install rodding eye: €130
(there is no access to the waste manhole cover so this is the reason for this job)

I would say so. I wouldn't consider those to be 'rip off' prices.

Removing and fitting the pedestal seems steep!

He priced the new sink/pedestal @ €400, so it's €180 for the removing/fitting. (I might decide to purchase the sink myself separately)

I guess some new piping has to be put in as I'm looking to raise up the sink about 10cm.

There was a price for "preliminaries" which came to about €200, so that probably covers the scaffolding?

    What's "Tagged"?

Could you summarise the obligations and how they affect me in this case pls?

    There's no mention of it.
There is no way scaffolding is including in the preliminaries at €200.

Read through it there, not sure exactly what I'm supposed to be looking for.

If I ask them "are you going to put up scaffolding" does that cover the concern here? :)
