Just noticed that the new Luas track going down Dawson St has some awful brick surface put in around it now - uneven as anything. I really hope that's not going to be full surface when they're done.

Aren't the cobbles supposed to be for the sections that cars and bikes are banned?

Is the whole width of Dawson St cobbled?

Dawson St is in a right state. The rate of progress could only be described as glacial. I'm surprised the retailers aren't going completely nuts.

    A technical question.

Everytime I post in a thread it automatically 'follows' that thread. How do I stop that from happening?

Ah jesus, ordered tyres and tubes from wiggle last week, it seems my expected delivery date is next Tuesday and not today!

Never ordered from wiggle before, is this lead time normal?

I usually order from CRC and 1/2 day delivery is the norm. My package was dispatched yesterday, must be a lad walking with it

In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, the summer bank holiday is on the last Monday of August. In Scotland it is on the first Monday of August.

Well I just ordered another tyre from CRC and paid for next day so should have it tomorrow. With no bike I loose my motivation to eat well and I need to get back out asap. The weather this week has been amazing too :(

Least I'll have a spare tyre now when the others arise should this happen again. Nearest bike shop to me is Joe Daly's but I can't get there during opening hours

i had a wheel rebuilt a week or two back, and it really gave me a yen to buy a second bike to keep me going through those tough times.

Jaysus, I've had a spare tyre for some time now. Had hoped the cycling might get rid of it, but Arthur says no!

^^ indeed, may pull a jacket on this evening for the cycle home, first time since the summer started i think. I have been away so if there was bad weather in late july - early august i missed it.
