Which zinsser primer is best for knot stains

Hi, i am about a quarter way through painting a lot of doors and skirtings in house, which has a lot of yellow knot stains coming through the old paintwork. I contacted zinsser before i started and they said the oil based primer (yellow tin) was best for knot stains but on further research, most people say the shellac one…
