I wouldn't let the cat sleep in that.....
    Monitor might be worth saving!
I think I've seen that cab for sale before.
I remember the chewed up joystick!

The control panel looks like it has a a drawing of a Stickman taking a pee drawn into the dust! :pac:

So I googled Surf Planet as a matter of interest and it looks like it was a midway game.

Here's what it should actually looks like, in a nice generic Midway cab.

Would love to know how it ended up in the above horror show.

As per the other thread, I'm looking to buy a cab on adverts.
So this is the picture I got sent. Anyone more knowledgeable able to confirm it looks OK?
    Thanks in advance.

Cheers for all the help on this lads, deal is after falling through as the buyer had a change of heart about selling.
He was a gent to deal with, so I'm a bit gutted, but not really upset. Such is life!

Sorry to hear that man. But you never know how things work out - something else might turn up and work out for the best.

Is that the same cab that has a dodgy chassis as per another thread on this forum?

Anyone running a vertical Hyperspin setup on any of their machines? Much to it?

No. Never bothered as at the time it wasn't native to Hyperspin and required much fcuking around.
Also themes would be squashed and all over the shop.

Not sure if things have improved since

Same here. Bit fiddly to start with me, but actually a nice cleaner interface than Hyperspin was.

I always thrill at the sight of Starblade, love that game, love playing it.
The 3DO version was great, but nothing compared to the Arcade game.
I wonder how such a large machine can earn enough in this day and age to make keeping it worthwhile? I was never aware it has a following, outside of weirdos like me.

CPS2 encryption cracked and tool release. No more need for ROM swaps :)

I think it means that you can now resuscitate boards that were damaged by teh suicide battery?

They've cracked the encryption so that you can just dump the game onto another chip and just transplant it onto the board.

    ...I think anyway.

Rewrite ROMs to chips with original encryption. Seems a little unnecessary, I'd much prefer the unencrypted phoenix ROMs without the battery but some still strive for 100% accurate preservation.

Nice to see new machines being released but I really cannot stand all the flashy glitz.

Reminds me of that new Point Blank released a while ago.
