It's slow but quite thorough. Handy to fire it up for five minutes before you go out for a quick raid, or not, if there's nothing there.

My three favourite random spawn spots were completely empty both times I passed them today. Just unlucky or have they moved spots around recently?

Add more accounts to speed it up. It takes a bit of time obviously and don't bother doing it on your phone, do it on a computer. I spend about half an hour setting up 6 fake PTC accounts. 6 circles at a time scan.

But they are all timed so how do you get from your computer to the spawn spot in time? I mean if you're at home and you have 9 minutes to get to a certain place you would want to hope it's not far outside your house ha! I was thinking of it just to have on while already on the way somewhere

Weird thing just happened. My character ran off course and found herself between two roads. All of a sudden seven Pokemon (all vermin) popped in a circle around her. They disappeared while I was foostering with the screenshot button.

You're very adamant and confrontational about what the contents of eggs are. It seems like a futile argument to take up given that the only definitive source that could prove this right or wrong is Niantic and they've said nothing on the matter. I'm not saying you are wrong, you're entitled to your opinion, but is there a need to argue over such a trivial point?

Nothing is showing up on my screen all of a sudden. The character is moving about the map but no Pokemon are in sight and the poke stops and gyms have all disappeared. Wtf?
Edit: everything back to normal 10 minutes later

Only 1km away from hatching my only 10km egg in about a week. My previous 3 10km eggs have all been Pinsirs. I swear to God if this is another Pinsir, I will got damn..........

I put a lucky egg today and evolved 10 pokemon some I had some I did not. Went up a level and a half as did it at home (waste but wanted to). CP are low but evolved from low CP and if IV is not crapp will power up the whole way. I have all the pidgey evolutionsm the ponyta evolution, an army of Ratticates Zubats and evolution Weddle and all the evolution bellsprout and its evolution. Also caught a wigglytuff, and got a number of eggs hatched, got a Growlith(my 2nd 1st caught), 1st charmander, Onyx, 2 Eevee(evolved 1 using the Rainer name and it worked). Maxed out by items with over 110 Great balls.

Don't cash out until you're in as many gyms as possible. I like to start with the more out of the way ones then finish in the popular ones before I hit the button.

What are you guys using to scan places for spawns? There was something posted before but it only seemed to work for android. Is there an app for iPhone?

I just do a scan of the immediate area. I've caught a good few outside my house using it. Also used it on dollymount, helped me catch all the good stuff and avoid the vermin

Same here. Made a nice fat Gloom but it's forever to the next evolution. Oddish used to be very common but I haven't seen one in the wild for weeks.

Got to level 20 today so no more XP chasing. Just walking and walking.

Yup, Pinsirs are definitely not what you want to see come out of a 10km egg alright. If I had hatched a 4th Pinsir in a row, I would've been raging

Probably a stupid question but Google doesn't seem to be giving me the answer...
I had a Pokemon in my teams gym. All grand, came back from work and noticed my Pokemon was back. Checked it out and the gym hadn't been defeated or lowered prestige but my Pokemon was out and someone else's was in its place.

Can you be bumped from a gym or how does that work? I thought it was only if the team was defeated that happened but I'm obviously missing something!

Most likely scenario is somebody from another team fought the gym but only lowered the level enough for 1 pokemon to be removed. Then someone from the same team as you came along, trained the gym and leveled it up again, then put his own pokemon in there. Therefore the other pokemon in the gym are the same and you think he just took your spot.

Was yours the lowest 'mon in that gym? Yours could've been beaten out by an opposing team and then the gym trained back up.

I was wondering something, possibly related, this evening. I walked into my local park's empty carpark where there was a friendly gym i was planning on training up to place one of mine in. When I got closer I realised that it was a Level 3 gym with only 2 in it! I just popped my guy in at the top and of I went. Seen that a bit recently, wonder if it's a bug related to what you experienced. There was no one around and no evidence of a battle in progress just before so I know I didn't snake someone's place.

There's always 3 spots available initially after a gym is taken over by a team. You only have to train it up for a 4th spot and more
