Hi Anyone have any ideas how to paint silicone sealant please. The silicone is used on wood which must be sealed as it will be used for children play area. I've tried gloss undercoat & then gloss paint over the silicone but is now pealing off even before the kids use it. There will be water used in this play area so the wood must be totally sealed around the corners & edges.

Have you already done the sealing job? If not, consider using Tec7 instead of standard silicone sealant as that can be painted over with no problem.

Sealant was put on sat. Painted it with a mdf primer, Then painted it with white undercoat, yesterday painted it with gloss paint, This morning the paint pealing off where the sealant is. If I got what your suggesting could I sand paper the silicone out as much as I can then replce it with your suggesting would it work.
