Bath taps at non-plug end

Normally the taps for a "regular" bath are located at the plug end. It's possible to purchase standard shape baths with no holes for the taps, meaning the taps are not intended to be physically attached to the bath; therefore if I wanted to attach taps to an end wall (so not physically attached to the bath), is there any…

It's possible to purchase standard shape baths with no holes for the taps, meaning the taps are not intended to be physically attached to the bath; therefore if I wanted to attach taps to an end wall (so not physically attached to the bath), is there any reason, particularly with regards to the flow of water, why I couldn't have the taps on the end wall which is the opposite end to where the bath plug would be?

Here's one from screwfix. I've usually seen them with the taps mounted at the side of the bath, not the end, but I can't see any reason why you couldn't mount opposite the plug end
