    Hi,
I am a landlord and I have had a lot of costs attending the PRTB and the circuit court to get a tenant out of my property. Does anyone know are these costs allowable against the rental income..i.e. lost days from work, cost of witnesses attending e.t.c. and on what basis?

    Thank you
    P

    I highly doubt it.

There are a list of allowable deductions on the revenue leaflet - IT70, that you'll find in the Revenue website

The loss of potential employment income is not an expense but an absence of income. Court/tribunal costs including witness expenses sound like they should meet the wholly & exclusively test for a tax deduction.
