Chuchote - they can be difficult to fit when they are new as the tyre keeps coming undone as you move along. A little tip is to use cable ties to temporarily secure the tyre to the rim as you work your way around.

Cable ties? Can't quite envisage that… photo?

I already have trouble with the last push with the heel of the hands, which hurts my ickle handies.

I remember someone saying to put them in warm water for a while before fitting to make them more supple. I had to use multiple kitchen utensils and a comedy balancing act of holding the utensils in place with my leg.

It would be impressive to fit them on with just the heel of your hands in my opinion.

Ah, no, this is ordinary tyres that hurt the heels of my hands when I try to ease them back on after mending a puncture.

Sounds nuts to me. You could feed 2 adults a varied and healthy balanced diet for those 5 days for 60 quid and probably still have change. I always tend to cook for at least 2 days too and freeze half the stuff.

Now where it would be good is on those days where you are feeling a little tired, or lazy and you'd fall of the wagon and take a shortcut, but otherwise it's nuts. I say this as someone who goes through phases of buying my morning coffees too instead of making my own so I don't my position is pretty tenuous. I guess I don't mind cooking, particularly the more I do it.

I don't mind cooking, it's finding the time. Here I am now in the office, been here since 8 and I've just munched into my second meal. On a day like today which has turned into a long one, probably another hour before I get out, I'd probably get Franco in Macaris to cook for me :pac: But now my food is prepped and all I have to do is heat it I'm much better.

I wouldn't do it if I was cooking for two though, it's far more cost effective to cook for two rather than one.

I'm also not drinking coffee at lunch now, which is €15 a week, I'll just have a coffee from out canteen, which is quite nice to be fair.

Jebus, the latest Strava app update gave me a fright. My first thoughts were to reach for my shades.

That said, it does look much fresher.

Inside the factory this evening on BBC 2 is about a folding bike factory, maybe Brompton. Greg Wallace presents it though.

Two points after cycling 15km across city to clontarf,

the turn from trinity left onto pearse st is in tatters inside of road is a bombsite, how hasnt it being fixed very dangerous with cars speeding behind.

And the roads around IFSC are just not bike friendly 4 lanes, no bike lanes, no room to get by. then the stop start lanes to clontarf mixed with stop start speeding of the cars and the lane changes.

I thought it was broken at first.

    I don't like it. I fear change.

I have it recorded, along with the Olympic track events from yesterday evening. A feverish child resulting in cleaning up puke and washing bed sheets numerous times left me with little time to catch up on either. I think I managed to catch the first few laps of the ladies points race and that's about it.

i am in the ha'penny place compared to my wife when it comes to cooking. my diet (certainly at home) is quite good, but i am not proud of the fact that she does the vast majority of the cooking. still, sea trout fillets last night, fried in butter and lemon, with butter beans, chorizo and courgette.

Head of European Olympic Committee arrested in Rio - the fact he tried to do a runner may not help his cause

At least Ireland's continuing to get some coverage in Rio....

I laughed when I read the article. About time presumed untouchable officials feel the pressure from the law. I bet he feels very far from home right now. Yer man Mallon is still behind bars.

all the things he could be done for and they do him for something as silly as tickets for an Olympics that is half empty.

He is happily in bed with the Azer's, Russians, Bahrain, Qatar etc. Awful man in my opinion

Why do you think it's half empty?...

Anyway, didn't they only manage to get Al Capone on tax evasion charges...

Well, at least he would have enjoyed his first class BA flight out there.

Even outside the Olympics that would cost about 3.5k compared to <500 for Economy.

That's a few thousand that could have been spent on supporting our athletes.

Maybe he'll drop dead of his recently acquired health condition.

Normally costs quiet a bit more than that business class let alone first (although using Heathrow to connect I once got first cheaper than business to Sao Paulo)

Wonder if he'll continue to get his €800 or so a day IOC "allowance" while at El Presidente's pleasure?

I was surprised too but that's what the BA site said for flights in Sept.

Not that I have any experience of flying first class. :pac:

Probably, but at a reduced rate due to meals and accommodation being provided.
