Boxing in the Olympics has always had a somewhat dodgy history, with the host nation traditionally doing well above average (sometimes suspiciously well above average) at their games.

Odd and sometimes diabolical decisions have been a part of it, LA in 1984 and Seoul in 1988 tend to atand out the most to me.

The problem is that it's a highly subjective sport, it's fast and what one person regards as a hit might not count with the next, there's also the potential to make serious money in boxing, a lot of it is cash payments and it, as such attracts a certain group of people who are after the fast buck. It's a pity as boxing tends to be one of the purest forms of sport left.
