Automotive porn that. I used to have a brilliant poster advertising the Circuit of Ireland Rally back in 85/86. It had that Rothmans liveried 911 on it. My mother threw it out  .

Was over in the South of England for a couple of days. Popped into Goodwood for a couple of hours. Preparation taking place for the revival meeting. Great place to visit, totally open to walk around the paddock and talk to the guys running the cars. Well worth going to

What always struck me about the Ferraris of that era is even with the usually tiny milage on most, the interiors can look very grotty and worn out and creak like mad(unless restored of course). Early Testarossas can look particularly bargain basement on the inside.

Yeah they were very shoddily put together, I had the pleasure of being up close and personal with a Mondial and taught it looked like rubbish and had nowhere near the charm of 308.
    Still love one regardless.

I knew the day would come sooner or later, given my love for the 412 and GT4.

I always disliked the Mondial, but that cabrio above (despite those rims) suddenly has me thinking... The hardtop stll looks awkward though and the best colour is black, imo.

The Ferrari 275 GTB is still fugly, though.

I always thought the world would come round to the mondial - especially the convertible.
A ferrari you could stick the kids into. Up to about a year ago there was a dusty red one for sale in a small garage in malaga - 18K would have had it.

    And +1 on the black.

I like the 275 - it was the 365GTC/4 I could never warm to. My dad loved them though.

They can. I got an unusual tip a few years ago from someone on how to treat leather in classic cars... Use preparation H. Apparently it keeps the leather soft.

I love the 365GTC/4! Lovely swoopy 70's lines. Though I can see how many might compare them less favourably to the more popular shapes.

I happened across this little convoy of classics in Greystones yesterday and tailed them for a bit 'til they headed up towards the N11, a club meet & run perhaps.
I didn't manage to get pics of them all, but the convoy included a Mk1 Golf cabrio, 2 W123s, Stag, Triumph 2000, an MG (or Spitfire) of sorts, 85 Chevy pick-up, E30, Triumph Herald, Rover P6. The Beetle is a '63 (according to motorcheck)

One of two 911 Targas I spotted on the Ring of Kerry last week. This one in Sneem.

Eight years ago I drove the Ring in my '72 SL. Now I have three kids and drove it in a Citroen Picasso looking longingly at the child-free in their classics! :pac:

Imo these Alpina wheels don't fit the E30s, they are way too big for the car. Some people might like it, to me it looks like the car escaped from some circus.
