WD My Book 4TB drive.

I haven't used this drive for a few weeks and when I powered it up it has a permanent red light on it. The HDD spins up and then shuts down. Is the drive broken or does it need to be re-set in some way? I can't see it on my network. Thanks in advance for any advice. Fazer6.
