    My partner was in Aldi and bought this cleaning paste called astonish a while ago. I was sceptical about it because of where it came from. Most Aldi cleaning stuff I've bought I either didn't like the smell of or didn't think they were great but I'm pleasantly surprised by this stuff. I had never heard of it before too. It's almost like a thicker version of Cif or Jif. What stuff have you bought that you've bought time and time again?

    Marks and Spencers' boxes of chocolate biscuits - the Extremely Chocolatey selection. They're great at Christmas, much nicer than Afternoon Tea/USA.

    Lidl Irish Cream Truffles that come in a deceptively humble little box. I got them at Christmas expecting them to taste all of the 2.50 I'd paid for them , but no, they were DELICIOUS!! The were round little chocolate balls filled with moulten truffley Bailey's tasting goodness, they even packed a warm alcohol-y punch. Much better than the 16.99 euro punch in the budget packed by the Bailey's branded equivalent truffles which are nicer shapes, have thicker chocolate but are very light on the Baileys yum taste.
    Ah memories...
    Lidl definitely wins that round.

    I think I got to being a bit of a brand snob with cleaning products so wouldn't buy anything that had an own name brand on it. I won't be so snobby in future.
