American Airlines Dublin Check-in

    Hello,

I'm flying Dublin-Chicago tomorrow with American Airlines. I actually booked with BA but the flight is operated by AA. Does this mean I check-in with American or BA? Also, can anyone confirm if I am able to check-in at the airport with these airlines, rather than checking in online?

Online check-in is a pain because you have to choose your seat, and they have the options of buying 'premium seats', and the only free ones are the middle-middle seats, as in the middle of the middle of the plane. So I'm hoping to check-in at the airport and have more seating options, but maybe not. Thanks!

You always check in with the airline you're actually flying with: so American in this case.

You can check in at the airport. No guarantee that seating options will be any better.

Yea that's what I thought. I am wondering though, there are only a few 'non-preferred' seats left according to the seating map online. If they run out, they can't make me pay for a preferred seat can they?

No, they won't..but chances are they won't run out (a portion of seats will be held for airport assignment. Count on them not being "preferred")

I don't think the OP is looking for the "preferred" seats, but rather ones that are not between the aisles.
