Don't really understand IVs, but am I better off evolving a lower CP pokemon with a higher IV% rather than my highest CP pokemon with pretty low IV?

A maxed out high IV Pokemon will have higher CP than a maxed out low IV Pokemon, whether or not that's worth it is up to you.

IVs only make a difference if you plan on powering up that Pokemon, otherwise current CP is more important for gyms etc

I'm playing on an iPhone 5 and it's working fine. Maybe pick one up cheap second hand?

in the end its a difference of about 10%... I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I have 9 5KM eggs what happens to eggsyou get at pokestop. I had read but have not seen it approved that if you find a 10KM it replaces one

I've only ever collected an egg when I had a space free for one.

botting has been nuked. without getting into too much detail, they've made some very interesting and difficult to crack changes server side. looks like they took botting very seriously at niantic.

Seems like it has already been partially cracked.

You have them in incubators right?

I'm getting an error on the https://pogoprofiles.com site.

    Too bad.
I'm level 21 and don't have any of the 1500+ cp pokes that you guys have.
    Very impressive.

That's the thing with coders and crackers. They will always find away around and get patched and another loophole then patched.

It's a constant battle against them.

I am closing in on 400 Magikarp Candies, highest I have is 135

I tried for a day but couldn't find a stronger Magikarp than the 140CP one I already had. Then I finally lost my patience and evolved it.

I powered it up to 160CP first and it turned into a 1,812CP Gyarados. Really wanted at least 2,000CP but oh well. I suppose I can just power it up more to bring it over 2,000.

Are you gonna evolve that 135CP one or look for a stronger one?

anyone know what the multiplier for magikarps are? are they also based on your level for higher cp evolutions?

That really depends how you look at it like my highest IV pokemon is a 98% 660 CP Beedrill to keep evovling that would need 1,900 in stardust per go and 2 candies , on average it goes up about 35 cp points with every power up ... at the minute this pokemon dosn't even feature in my top 25 high CP Pokemomn with my top being and 1,975 CP 80% Lapras which costs 3,000 stardust and 2 candies to power up.

To get my high IV Beedrill to the same level as my Lapras i would need to power it up about 35 times , costing 66'500 stardust and 70 candies , dost really seem worth it to be honest when i can just keep using the star dust to power up my top 6

That's my thinking also stardust wise. What good is a low Cp high iv compared to a high cp mid to high lvl iv pokemon.

Answer. A F ton extra stardust that we don't have for not a High gain.

Given how combat works in the game I wouldn't get overly hung up on things like IV and movesets. I think they were more important in other pokemon games, plus the gym battles at the moment are largely just blindly tapping the screen. Most gyms I see only have two or three defenders in the low to mid 1000s which isn't too hard to take down if you have roughly similar strength attackers.

If I'm picking something like an eevee to evolve then I'll try to pick the best I have for IV but I certainly wouldn't be powering up a low level beedrill or the like just because his IVs were great. As Walter said the stardust cost alone would effectively stop you being able to power up anything else

All the scanners were nuked last night afaik - I wouldn't be surprised to see them back in a day or two though once the devs figure out how to get around whatever roadblock was put into the API

The scanners will definitely be back soon somehow

Couldn't be bothered wasting 5-6 balls on a fúcking Pidgey anymore, gonna leave it for a while and hope they bring a patch out sooner rather than later.

Yeah Niantic are really going hard on the botting issue right now, they just posted this also:

    https://www.facebook.com/PokemonGoOnline/posts/1209440695773917?comment_tracking=%7B%22tn%22%3A%22O%22%7D
PSA: If you using bots to level your account to level 36 in a few days, while the rest of us are out walking for hours, and you then use the level 3000-6000 Snorlax, Dragonite, etc you got from botting to take gyms from hard working trainers, you are making the game less fun for yourself, and other people. Why miss out on meeting people, exercise, and seeing new places, just to let a robot play the game for you? You'll never get to feel the excitement of catching a new Pokemon yourself, or the pride in taking a gym with the team you built. What do you get out of it?

It must be top priority for them currently

Good day out today, covered about 12km, got 8 new Pokemon for the Pokedex - Seadra, Graveller, Tentacruel, Sandshrew, Persian, Onix, Growlithe and best of all, a near 1500 CP Snorlax from a 10km egg. Also got a 480CP Charmander from a 2km egg.

If that was an official account then maybe but it's not so as usual we'll never know!

So had two 10km eggs cooking away in the microwave on my cycle to work. Both hatched on the journey in and I got an Eevee and Onix :(

I'm never going to get a Snorlax or Lapras, am I?

Got my first 10 Km eggs today, half way through lvl 18 :)

looks like ill be out walking after dinner, need to finish off the 5 Km eggs i started this morning :(

Hatched a scyther from a 10k egg today and caught a 560cp clefable so pretty happy with todays walk!

Had a 5km egg hatch yesterday and out popped a Lickitung! I was so surprised that I actually let out an audible "ha" on the street; I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't that! Seeing it come out of the egg made me realise even more what a ridiculous Pokémon it is. :p

Another two 5km eggs hatched today but only gave me a Tentacool and a Psyduck. Not very exciting.

I was delighted when I saw and caught (after much Pokéball and Razz berry throwing) a Dragonair, only to realise it's CP was only 73. Why would Niantic tease me with such a beautiful and rare but pathetically weak beast? :(

And now I'm out of Pokéballs, because even Rattatas have become much tougher to catch (I'm only on level 10 or 11 so have no Great Balls yet).

Hatched a vulpix from a 5k egg so happy as i don't have one but useless as its only 100+ cp and a pidgey from a 2k. where is my 10k egg but then i have to but patient to see whats in it. Is everybody starter pokemon the exact same? I picked a bulbasaur xl 11.62kg xl 0.88m.

I hatched a 10K egg there yesterday and got an "Electabuzz" CP 1084, was happy as for that!
