Heading to Cork and Kerry next week with only the radio in the car.

Is there a list of stations that broadcast all over Ireland?

    I know 2fm is one

Talking of 'All Ireland' coverage, I wish we could get the BBCs in the car down here ...

Maybe there could be a reciprical arrangement wherby up North they could receive RTE Newstalk etc on FM, and we could receive the BBCs etc on an all Ireland basis.

Used to receive BBC Radio 2 in the car loud and clear (from Wales/NI) until Spirit FM took over both frequencies (about three years ago) :(

Yeah the BBC do have some great stuff on, I'm a big dance fan so would love Radio 1

Vastly insufficient FM bandwidth for that.

Rather than broadcasting foreign stations on our airwaves, why not condense the two niche stations, and use the additional block to create a BBC Radio 2 type service that the nation would listen to?

The Friday night dance shows or just dance in general?

Back when dance was good in the UK and I bought mixmag etc, probably early 00 to mid 00. Before it all had bits of house music in it

Now I'm tired of it and mostly listen to European stuff, hands up, hardstyle and hardcore
