what's funny about the PIN and ATM machine one?

what's funny about the PIN and ATM machine one?

PIN stands for personal identification number and ATM stands for automated teller machine.
So by saying PIN number or ATM machine we're repeating the last word.

Stephan Merchant giving Karl Pilkington a sock and freeing him from the clutches of Ricky Gervais

    What's this about??

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 7,449 Mod ✭✭✭✭cdeb

There's a few general Jim'll Paint It pictures lately; that one has some Harry Potter link apparently too.

This is going to be obvious - but the car stuck in traffic? I presume it's something to do with the roofrack, but can't see it.

    Roofbox is on sideways. :)

Was thinking that had to be it, though thought it looked secure enough anyway (seems to be attached to the roof-rack).

Never used a roofbox - I presume being on sideways makes a difference?

Wind resistance is much worse, they're designed to be aerodynamic to reduce fuel consumption, putting it on sideways defeats the object.

If it's blocking a sun roof from opening I'd probably mount it that way too

It's from harry Potter, there are creatures called house elves they are basically slaves who can only be freed if given a piece of clothing for their own. By Stephen merchant giving Karl (the house elf in this context) he is freeing him from his slave master, Gervais. I hope I have that correct!

The sad thing is that there are probably more Americans who were voting Trump going to switch from voting from him due to eating Fried Chicken with a Knife and Fork as there are will switch because of all the racist Bat Sh1t insane stuff he spouts

It's 100% photoshopped. If you look closely at the two red arrows and the underline it's pretty obvious.
Also, I've never noticed that chest of drawers on CNN before.

    :D

What can you do, cutbacks and all that - "CNN - Proudly sponsored by Ikea".

Still, it looks like solid pine, not to shabby all the same.

From the viewers viewpoint it looks like part of a huge demonstration, but in reality the entire demonstration is in the view of the camera. If the cameraman was to pan side to side (which he doesn't) the viewers would see how small it really is.

An adequate explanation - but where is the funny I implore you?

The "funny" is that viewers are often deceived by the media, in reality it isn't funny at all, it's propaganda!
