Do they allow any Pakistanis in?

Bonner used to do punditry on Sky sports.

They renamed him Paddy Bonner, presumably to avoid the sensitive English souls from getting offended at Packie.

Dunno if this guy is a Liverpool fan but might want to run him off boards.

Also what's the actual procedure for reporting re-regs? A fairly obvious one was posting away during the Euros and I highlighted it through the report button, but a Mod might have 'missed' it.

Mods have very limited tools for checking for re-regs. If they suspect one they will ask Admins (who have more powerful tools) to check it out. If the Admins agree a site ban for posting while banned usually follows

In this case the mod tools show absolutely no link. However if you think you may have further info supporting your view it's a re-reg of the accounts you mentioned, drop me or one of the Soccer mods a PM and we can pass any relevant info on to the Admins

In Donegal the surname Bonner is usually pronounced Boner tbf

The Divers up here are pronounced devir too.

I went to school with a few Muff Divers.

If a few posters from both sides of the whole Liverpool utd thing could be restricted to only posting in the team they support thread. Things would run a lot smoother around here.

Seemingly the word "Paki" is acceptable on the forum.

There's not an Irish football fan alive who knows that is not the correct spelling of the name of the hero of Italia '90.

    Get away outta that Baldy.

It's not nice accusing someone of that on a public forum tbh

They do the same way as when looking for AH mod; they look at who's posting in The Cuckoo's Nest to find people of suitable sanity levels and then hit them on the head a few times before they are asked to sign the dotted line.*

*This may or may not be true.

no, you did not get a warning for suggesting that. please do not mis-represent mod actions.

yup. apparent soapboxing. Amazingly I picked out one of those issues that gets ignored and no mod answered about it and then did the "MOD WARNING DONT TALK ABOUT THINGS" bit, then a couple of people went to bait me on it, I called them (and reported them) on the baiting and then I got a yellow. Oh I brought up the humour thread again in passing to the Man Utd - Liverpool banter thread suggested, enough for a yellow that. I should have just realised they didnt want this glaring anomaly pointed out

Its kind of like the bringing up of mod culture or other issues which you guys don't like to deal with. This time instead of ignoring and not replying about it, they chose the 'hammer down with anal rules' approach which also works. the words you have used there are correct of course, so thats fine

oh and unfortunately Im not one of the lads so I couldnt have it deleted for me :(

you engaged in an off topic discussion. Mod instructed it to stop. you didnt and continued to post off topic. baited or not (yes of course it was all a fiendish conspiracy) you still posted off topic ignoring the mod instruction (which was the warning reason given to you).

and again you decide to steer off topic. This thread is about the soccer forum ,it has already wandered off topic and was corrected, dont do it again please.
oh and unfortunately Im not one of the lads so I couldnt have it deleted for me :(

and for the (i think) second time *ever* in my history on boards.ie I have found an actual valid reason to post

*the first time was on a thread discussing the use of that fella so posting it was pretty much unavoidable.

People may be aware that from next season the Twitter account of Sky Football will be carrying brief highlights from the FA Premier League (goals etc) for UK & Ireland users in a deal between Sky Sports & Twitter. Will the current policy of not allowing links to twitter posts showing goals in the soccer forum be revised in light of this?

We have been discussing this with the office today, and embedding Tweets with such links is in line with site policy and will be permitted in the forum, along with embedding from the likes of YouTube

Posting of other links and gifs will remain prohibited

    This rule is beyond satire.

Maybe you should provide feedback directly to the EPL as they were the ones threatening to sue anyone posting/hosting that stuff

It seems to have had little impact elsewhere on the Internet, so, it would appear that I don't need to direct my view anywhere but here.

wondered how long it would take for your sanctimoniousness to turn up on a Soccer Forum Feedback thread.

    :)

The irony of you calling someone sanctimonious is lovely. You're a clown of the highest order and I've been reading your bollox for far too long.
