If you tryna be smart it aint working. You're not capable of critical thinking.

    That is a stock image.

Does the article claim that it is from Manbij?

Why actually write the news report when you can stick an emotive picture in it and make it up.

They take 80 French, then the French need to take 800 of them. Only way this is going to be stopped, horrific as it is.

Also, being liberal doesn't mean one abandons one's own critical faculties. You have people here who are beside themselves when it's pointed-out that this airstrike is different in character to an act of terrorism like Nice.

Of course it doesn;t, where did I make the claim that it had and I agree, we can discuss ad nauseum about context and the how's or whys but what is the fundamental difference in the result? 85 innocent people killed in Nice and 85 killed in Syria, one being a mistake will be of scant consolation to the dead or their families.

At least in Nice the attacker was killed in teh act but the guy who dropped the bomb nor the guy who ordered it will face anything more than a potential loss of rank.

It is obviously awful that 85 innocent civilians died. Somebody in charge made a terrible/horrendous mistake. Somebody in charge should be but probably will not be held accountable and that is heinous if it comes to pass.

However to conflate this disaster with recent acts of terrorism is completely dishonest point scoring. Walking into a concert with kalashnikovs, driving a lorry into crowds of people, suicide bombing an airport terminal, where the intent is to maim and murder innocents ultimately to inspire fear, hatred and divide peoples simply isn't comparible to this in any way.

    This is very simple:
I hope everyone here understands the difference between manslaughter and premeditated murder? I should also hope everyone understands why we punish one more harshly than the other? Further to this I hope people understand that pointing this obvious fact out is not the same as condoning or encouraging manslaughter?

We kill 10x as many of theirs?

Seriously? To stop the deaths of innocent men women and children you want to kIll 10x as many innocent men women and children?

France was also involved in the coalition strikes.
    A few days after Nice?
US coalition have been bombing hospitals and universities too.
Saudi's record in Yemen is even worse.
Its not only Russia/Assad that air bomb civilians.

You've obviously got inside sources and independently verifiable information and documentation to show that the American government is deliberately murdering and bombing innocent civilians.

I can't wait to read them.

That will probably happen, it's just by the time it does the world has moved on.

If you remember that MSF hospital attack earlier in the year, the crew of the AC-130 involved are all suspended & awaiting further disciplinary actions (probably a court marshal for the senior officers).

In time, there may or may not be a similar situation here... however it will get a couple of column inches as it's yesterdays news.

Meanwhile, US backed and armed rebels 'accidentally' behead boy.

Can't see any mention whatsoever on that site about the 100+ killed directly by the US today. Funny old world, eh?
