Should I buy two drills or will a combi drill be OK?

I need to buy a drill to be able to drill holes into concrete as well as wood so I understand that a combi-drill may be best but they can be rather expensive. my other option would be to get a corded hammer drill and buy a smaller cordless electric drill just for screwing and maybe drilling smaller holes through wood. Since this is for a once-off project I would like to keep my costs down. What do you think?

    thanks!

Buy a cheap hammer drill from the likes of B&Q and a makita cordless that will last you years ( cordless always handy to have around ) (makita powerful and very good quality)

Didn't think of that. Thank you. I will compare the cost of hiring. But should I hire a combi-drill do you think? Are they good for one-handed use or are they too heavy?

I got an 18v dewalt combi drill with 2 baterries and case from screwfix.ie, primarily used for screwing but use the hammer drill occasionaly too. Very handy all in one. Got it a few months ago and it was about €150 but there was a discount code on the advertisment flyer so worked out @ €130 with free delivery.
Sometimes these tools only come with the one battery so made this one all the better. If it's only for diy might be better than buying seperate drills.

if it was me I'd get a 230Vac wired SDS drill for concrete and get whatever regular battery or mains drill you wanted.
