    Hi,

Just noticed mould stains on the ceiling below bathroom (perfectly round stain exactly where the shower trap is) and then noticed that the silicone around shower trap is gone completely. Looks to me like there's water leaking through the sides of e trap into the floor/ceiling below.

Would it make sense to lift shower tray to check for damage underneath, or would i get away with just sealing the trap again? I dont want to make it worse now vy doing a patch job and then having a major issue on my hands later...

How nuch hassle is lifting the tray in a first floor bathroom?
    Any advice?

It's easier and less messy cutting a hole in the ceiling below the trap. If you lift the tray it needs to be re fitted and resealed. You also need to retile around the shower. Hole in ceiling is an easy job for a plasterer to repair
