Imagine if the spawn spot's where linked with other players being in your area. So lets say i have it on my phone and you have it on yours and we are linked to specific pokemon that will spawn for the other.

Lure stops?? Is that just a normal stop with a lure module attached?

Usually dread Monday mornings but hit like 20 pokéstops on the way to work, bag was too full to hit anymore... also can reach a gym from my desk :D

They attract Pokémon for half an hour. It can vary how much you get in the half hour but it is always worth a look if you have the time.

Of course, if you see a PokéStop with a lure on it in the middle of the night in the IFSC then stay well away. That place is dead at night. Would not trust it then!

There is more then two different links on this forum to google maps of rare Pokemon around Ireland and it's pretty useless. Surely we can come up with something better?

I have my phone open on the desk next to me. There was a Level 4 gym owned by Valor at the train station next to me, and I watched a battle happen, followed by a Yellow takeover.

I don't think the pokemon are static. I've caught plenty of rareish pokemon around town and never saw them in the same places again.

Some are "nests". The difference is you go back every day for a couple days and see if they spawn again.

People put in one-time pokemon catches which isn't really helpful.

They are. I live near a Pikachu nest... I have caught over 6 in the last 3 days.

Merrion Square was crazy at lunch. 5 stops had lures attached all within a few feet of each other. Caught about 12 Drowzees and a wild 1097 CP Magmar.

The Eevee glitch didn't work for me.

Was able to finally log-in for the 1st time around 4pm yesterday. Had some stuff to do at the house so couldn't really go out for a walk. Created my character, got my starter pokemon and just tried to catch whatever pokemon popped up near the house. During a 6 hour period, I caught almost 30 pokemon

I would catch whatever pops up, wait a minute or two to make sure there's nothing else there and then close the app. 15 - 20 minutes later I'd take out the phone, open the app, catch the new pokemon, close the app, wait another 15 - 20 minutes and then rinse & repeat.

I kept doing that for around 6 hours and ended up with almost 30 pokemon without leaving the house :p Everytime I re-opened the app, there would be a new pokemon popping up within a minute.

I also tried leaving the app running instead for more than 30 minutes twice, but got very few pokemon popping up. I got loads more by constantly just closing and opening the app. Anyone else getting loads of pokemon inside the house?

The easter egg might only work once per account.

Mr. Mimes encounter animation is incredible. Just caught one after laughing at it.

There is this one, which is grand if people would only use the right layers when they are adding locations. It's a right pain having to drag each item individually to it's correct layer and/or rename them to what they are.

Nice productive lunch in Merrion Square, sat myself down between two Poke-Stops where some generous folk had placed some lures, I'd been saving up pidgeys and other pokemon to evolve, (I'm at level 10 and had only previously evolved 1 pokemon), set my lucky egg going and went from lvl 10 to 14 over my hour lunch. Mainly with evolve xp, few new pokemon as part of the evolves and was lucky and caught two new pokemon aswell, Bulbasaur, finishing off my 3 starting pokemon and a magikarp. I was that busy evolving I wasn't catching all the pokemon I could have.

Plenty of others out obviously playing, including one girl who I had to admire her care-freeness was in her 30's and happy out using the AR catching pokemon in trees and all sorts.

Might try get out this evening if servers aren't too bad and see what higher CP ones I can get now, still have 1 over 600 CP and 3 more over 500 CP, so not too bad.

Well the idea of it encouraging exercise is clearly nonsense at this stage.

    Cycle 10k. 0 Pokemon, 0 XP. 0 metres registered
    Walk 1.5k. 0 Pokemon, 0 XP. 0 metres registered.
Sit at desk. 5 Pokemon, 1500 XP. 500 metres registered.

Interest in game left. Close to 0.

I saw a post earlier about reverse engineering the app including the api to the server's. The guy's were able to get the list of all locations near them. Doing something like that could be a great way to populate that map

Do you definitely have the app open while walking/cycling? Because my tracking is reasonably accurate while the app is running properly.

Did you have the app open on your cycle and walk, as in open on the screen?

Also, if you cycle too fast will not be picked up.

This is the crux of the matter.
Getting the app to run consistently for 30 minutes while you're not interacting with it is quite difficult.
Usually I'll leave it 10 minutes, then find it's either frozen, or hasn't updated my location.
I also don't like that you have to keep it open, when it could just as easily work in the background, though I presume that's just to sell more wristbands.

Yep, screen unlocked and app open in front of me. It's not always this bad but depending on the location or time or whatever it's totally random whether it counts or not.

I'd imagine its just down to the servers then. A shame but hopefully fixed soon. It's working fine today... but it usually starts to collapse at 3pm when America wakes up.

A jynx nest seems to be at the top of my road, another one caught this morning. Another pokestop during lunch and more pokeballs.

    Nests are definitely a thing

Not that it's probably any use to anyone here but Trafalgar Square in London is a Drowzee nest. I went out at lunch and caught 12 of them in about half an hour among other usuals (Pidgeys, Rattatas etc.)

Honestly I think 99% of the planet is a Drowzee nest, sick of them :pac:
