No, most of the ones I've hatched are ones I've already caught, only a few have been new pokemon.

So theres a difference between lucky eggs and the eggs you hatch, the eggs you hatch you can see through the pokemon list by hitting the egg tab in the top right when viewing your pokemon.

You definitely should have some cus the pokestops dish them out so you have a full stack of 9 all the time to try encourage you to buy more incubators.

Lucky eggs are different and will appear in your items lis, you can only get these either as a reward for lvling or buying from the shop

Anyone know of any well populated pokispots like say inside blanchardstown centre where a lot of people can congregate and drop Lois and get loads of Pokémon interested in going down with my son.

    I'm in Clonee/blanch

There are some around blanch, the other half works out at the centre. Not sure where exactly, but he says players congregate around the centre so worth going for a wander anyway

Ah, pokeballs to that... Not going to encourage me to go walking about in the 36 degree lunchtime sun!

Depending on your level if it's for your son. Get yourself 100 coins through the store, it'll only be 99c, and buy a lure. Drop it at any pokestop. Maybe somewhere busy so he can see all of the other pokemon players come and use it. Everyone around will be able to see it, and ye can all benefit from the pokemon that it draws. 30 mins of craic

How do you choose which Pokemon to power up? Is there some strategy or just a personal choice?

Think I'm done with it, there's just not enough of a game there and like golf it's a good way to ruin a nice walk.

I would not power up any until level 20+ as the higher level you are the more CP pokemon you will catch naturally. Instead save up the candy use a lucky egg to evolve a lot of pokemon at once, this gives you huge XP and a few levels. Each pidgey evolved for 12 candies gives 1000 xp.

CP is pretty much everything in this game.

Ah well, I guess I should have asked earlier :D
I can't see myself getting to level twenty or anywhere near it, there's just not enough of a motivator. Getting the monsters themselves is the only goal really.

In that case power up whoever you want and go wild :D Mostly the catching is the fun bit anyway, gyms are meh to me.

    I'm in the same boat.

Got to Lv14, but there isn't a wide enough variety of pokemon in the area and I'm not going to bother hunting them out with the constant server issues and crashes.

I'll come back in a month when things have settled and there's some more updates to gameplay.

Does anyone know what the data usage is like for the game? It doesn't bother me at home, but I work in the Netherlands during the week, and I don't want to go OTT with the game.

Also, my office here is surrounded by Drowzee and Magikarp.

    5MB-10MB per hour.

I got about 100MB after about 12 hours of use.
I downloaded google maps at home to lower usage.

I read a quote from AT&T in america that stated "Pokemon will use 10MB per hour of your data allowance" so its not too bad, I think it mentioned that if you were to be on the app for 7 hours straght a day after 15 days youll rack up 1GB.

Is the radar only showing distances as three footsteps for all the Pokemons?

For anyone in Dublin City, I have had a bunch of 'mons show up on King Street. It's the street next to the St Stephens Green shopping Centre where the Gaiety is. For some reason I always seem to get a few pop up while walking along it. More so than anywhere else I usually walk. Once three of them popped up at once. Haven't seen that since I started the game and had to pick between the starters. There's nothing super rare there but I have caught a ghastly. It may be a bit of a hotspot or have a few spawn points around it. Can anyone else confirm this?
