Only started happening today. Also the footprints stay at 3 no matter how close I get to a pokemon. Realllllllly annoying at there was a nidoking somewhere near me

. Ithe was near the Grange pub in DeansGrange if anyone is wondering

Caught Vulpix, Onix, jigglypuff and a few others earlier. Tried a gym and beat the first pokemon handy enough but ripped apart by the second. Swiping left/right did nothing far as I can tell.

Walked almost 5k but I have learned more about the sights in this city playing pokemon than I have the entire time I have lived here. There's a park on a street behind my house...say what now?!?

Haven't seen a Nidoking, but I did once spot a Gengar within 3 footprints of me, never got it properly though

if the loading screen hangs for you turn on flight mode then turn it off just before you load up pokemon and you should get in.

Was out and about. Went through Naas and locked up totally on the pokestops there and the gym as well, so no joy. Then went to The Brown Bear in Twomilehouse, which turned out to be a Pokestop as well but then couldn't log in at all. From a Pokémon point of view a very frustrating afternoon. From my bellys point of view it was a great afternoon

From the other posts it appears they have been totally overwhelmed by demand.

I have only been able to log in for about 10 minutes yesterday and 5 minutes today. It keeps telling me the server is down. It's almost putting me off playing it at all anymore

Completly unplayable this afternoon. Went out about 3pm and just kept crashing and then not being able to logon. They really have to sort out the server issues soon or they will lose players.

50 million log in attempts guys. 50 million. you have to have some understanding. its going to be unstable for a while.

I have understanding of the issues and how those kind of things can be resolved. Which is why I think them officially opening the game in 30 odd countries during the week without having the servers for it is a stupid decision.

There are multiple things that they can do to minimise the issue and one of the simplest would be to stop the whole app from freezing when it can't get contact the servers. Issues like that have nothing to do with the number of playes and everything to do with shoddy programming.

So with a bit of testing I can say this kinda works, in the sense sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Even when it did work I had the loading icon ball up on my screen 90% of the time and Pokémon would disappear the moment I tapped on them and about half of those I could try to catch got stuck on the pokeball. In the other 10% of the time it worked perfectly and I caught an Electabuzz so there is that.

The measuring system seems to work fine for me. Roughly walked 2 miles and shows up as 3 km. Thought I picked the male character but I'm getting things like punk girl?

It's not official and they are talking out of their hole with regard to servers etc.

So ive been in the radius of about 5 Pokemon, every time I tap on the green leafs nothing happens? Just me? Pretty infuriating!

Not sure how the rustling grass works, whether they appear like they normally.

nothing is supposed to happen when you tap on the green leaves, it just indicated the area they are in

Tapping on the rustling leaves has never worked for me.

They are more likely to be where the green leaves are. There's an onyx spawn right beside my house it's all I find there
