    I'm a bit more liberal than you, although I respect your points. Just as a note on the above though, I've never been shot with either and I'm quite happy to live in a country where it vanishingly unlikely that I ever will be shot with either, even for the sake of comparison (For Science!).

    It's turning into a kip over there,, swat teams kicking in doors on YouTube, people being shot in their cars. At their airports their TSA sudo cops are beating young girls up.

    I'm sure the Mexicans can't wait for the wall to be built quick enough...

    With the changes to the foodstamps programme coming this year then we can see alot of more White Middle Class people getting murdered and more police also getting killed. I predict Rodney King-esque Riots in every major US City when Trumps sweeps the Electoral College. I think the era of Socialized Welfare across America will be coming to an abrupt end. Firearm sales are at all time highs as more and more ordinary Civilians arm themselves to the teeth. Obama will long be remembered as the worst President in the history of the Union, its a testament to George W. Bush that someone could even surpass him in terms of ineptitude.

    The rate of the gun deaths on America's police officers this past week is disturbing.

    Why would the shooters need to kill someone like a police officer that could be completely innocent to the killing of Alton Sterling not so long ago. These officers families, along those who were killed in Dallas, are now going to face up to the horrible fact that a loved one of theirs is now gone forever by gunmen who without doubt have any rational thinking of personal consequence on their lives further down the road.....and all because a black man that was shot dead in the US without warning by police.

    It makes me despair to be hearing about this gun crime stories all the time. I just had enough of it.

    My thoughts are with the families of those officers who were killed tonight. :(

    I mentioned Sandy Hook as original post by davycc appeared to contain older data.

    For me, it's not that black men are getting killed at a higher rate than white men, it's that unarmed black men are being killed in situations where they present no threat.

    I think if Dylan Noble were black, he'd have been killed before he got out of his truck.

    Can we move away from this "race war" crap? It didn't happen in the sixties so it certainly isn't going to happen now.

    It's obvious police in America need to receive more community interaction training. I think this will help to alleviate the issue in the long term.

    I heard elsewhere that it might have started out as a dispute between civilians and the police got involved which lead to them being shot rather than killing police being the goal, not sure how reliable it is yet. Can't wait to see how everyone will say how awful it is and then go back to doing nothing. I do get a laugh from people who think that somehow a state with higher gun control having shootings means it doesn't work. It's not like you can go from one state to another. If less guns meant more gun crime then countries like Ireland would be ****ed.
