There's a small park near me with ten pokestops. By the time you reach the tenth I've the first four have recharged. Handy for pokeballs and small bits of XP.

Anytime tried cycling to hatch eggs quicker?

Its on the play store now, those with bugged apks should just grab it off the play store, as long as you re-log with the same google account all your progress is saved server side (as it has to be).

Hey guys, quick (and probably stupid) question:

I've been waiting for Pokémon Go to officially come out before downloading it. So now that it's officially out I'm really wanting to get started. Thing is, I'm planning on getting a new phone pretty soon 'cause my current one is falling apart. So if I download it and start it now, will I be able to keep all my progress when I switch phones? Or would I have to redownload it again on my new phone and start again from the very start? This goes for other apps too btw, not just Pokémon Go. (Probably better off asking in a tech forum but I'm working on the assumption that most people reading here are a lot more clued in on how these new-fangled technological cellular telephones work than I am!

Your progress is linked to the google or pokemon trainer club account you sign up with so yes your progress will be saved

Went for a 50 minute jog around bushy park with an incense. Caught 20 pokemon with a good few being new ones. Seen a lure module at the lake and some lads just chilling on his own. I jogged past wanting to say something so badly haha.

It was constanly freezing on me this morning. I'd walk along with my phone upside down and the screen in powersaving mode and then one out of every 2/3 times I'd try to check the screen it would be frozen.

I've now upgraded to the official one from the app store and it seems a bit better but that may just be coincidence

am i the only one who doesnt see the official version on the android play store? I mean, i have the same apk anyway but i was just wondering. Evolved an evee and got a pretty good vaporeon.

There is a trick to selecting the eevee evolution you want by the way in case anybody doesn't know it. Rename the Eevee to the original trainers name from the cartoon.

Sparky = Jolteon
Rainer = Vaporeon
Pyro = Flareon

It works at least once for each pokemon.

There is a 3 step bug at the moment where every pokemon appears 3 away and it wont update so hopefully they fix that along with the hanging when you catch something. The servers are being absolutely slaughtered at the moment anyway so its not a great experience.

Wow didn't expect such militant response, some people are taking this game to a serious level. I was just thinking since I have no Mobile data might be handy. Also would be useful for those people bed ridden, but hey they might stop you catching a rare Pokemon.

Not recommended. Niantic have banned loads in ingress for spoofing, and recently they've banned a lot who used spoofing or freezing apps in the past. It would be a shame to get banned in 6 months time for something you may get away with now.

i think its because the servers are down. you dont get an authenticate email.

A tip for any new players. when you start you get your choice of 3 charmander, bulbasaur and squirtle just like in the game. If you walk away from their range 4 times, a pikachu appears instead and you can get him as a starter.

I think that pikachu is the least rare of the 4, ive spotted loads nearby but havent seen the other 3.

It depends. I've caught 5 or 6 squirtles but havent seen a single bulbasaur or charmander....and i'm level 18 with tons captured. I only got the charmander from an egg.

Was having a great time in Navan earlier when the US woke up and it started to fail and crash.
10 points from level 5 and it stopped loading

Alao tried to get legit version from playstore and my phone is not compatable. Hello its working fine. Samsung Note 2
