The Guardian are calling it as deliberate. The driver got out and opened fire. He was shot. It is an Al Qaeda tactic, driving in to crowds.

    Those people make me sick.

I was in Paris on Nov 13th...trying to get out that night was horrific.....I was looking to book a holiday for Jan in Paris today....nor happening now think....and I fckin hate that some mad bastards in the name of their flying purple spaghetti monster get to kill, maim and destroy so many lives

Its a terrorist attack, videos are out there showing the aftermath. I have nasty feeling it's going to get worse tonight.

    Anyone else think the same?
    I hope not...
Been in Nice once, really lovely city...
    Condolences.... :(......

I don't think it will escalate further tonight but certainly France is in for a hell of time with attacks coming down the road.

Disgusting excuse for humans. Hope they get what is coming to them.

Do you know anybody in Nice?

Reports are scattered, but talk of more trucks and more shooting ...again...just talk on Twitter....so who knows .

    Hope these reports are wrong

    Hope so too.

Do you think things closer to home are more important though?

    I think it all matters...

    and this is terrible.................................

I think any situation where people are being subjected to acts of terror is absolutely important. The where is irrelevant.

What would you say is close to home which is very important?

    Anything that affects you personally.

If France is last on my list does that mean I don't care?

There are things which effect me personally that are to the forefront of my mind. Yet I have compassion and empathy for those in France tonight. I am a human being with hopes and dreams and so are all of them.

If you don't mind me saying your question regarding being concerned about issues closer to home was a little odd in the face of the Nice tragedy.

I don't mind you saying anything....I have compassion and empathy in all tragedies....just asked a question to move the thread along which is the nature of the thread ....don't concern yourself with me personally....

Anyone have a question that people don't consider odd?

There's a thread for the events that took place in Nice. I'd rather we didn't discuss it here. :)

    Are you in bed?

I was posting in the context of the small discussion which arose following on from the attacks in France. I made an observation. That was all.

    I have lots of questions.

    Rasher samitches or sausage samitches?

    Both: sometimes separate, sometimes together.

I'd be ready for the last bin inside a week, but it would be worth it

Yes. It trivializes them to discuss them in the context of short question / short answer.

If you could realistically work in any job for a week, what would you like to try?

Id like to be on the production line for Linda McCartney veggie sausages and slip a bit of real sausage meat into each one.

    Is that shocking?

    Is that shocking?

No but I am wondering why you'd want to do that and also what you'd do for the rest of the week.

Favourite of the 2 senses, sight and sound?

It's just my mischevious side poking thru I guess ...if I had to pick a sense... sight.

Anybody following the tour de France?
