EGR and DPF

    Hi All
Quick question, I had some trouble with an EGR and DPF this week.
This started when the EGR fault showed up on the VCDS last week but my mechanic said it had closed in the correct position and that he would replace it for 240+VAT next month. He said it would drive fine.
Coming home from Kerry on motorway on Sunday the DPF light came on. I tried to drive it into a regen but limp mode kicked in and my hands were tied.
New mechanic (first time using him) said the DPF was "80% full" and he needed to soak it overnight etc.

He is quoting me 950 total.
For this I am getting a replacement EGR, cleaned DPF and he is doing some ECU work (not sure if this is technically re-mapping?)

    Is this a good price?

    Thanks
