I don't like my son watching it. And there's been few things I've tried to stop him watching to be honest. I dont like how there seems to be a lot of bullying in it and then it just gets brushed over like it's no big deal.

Daddy pig is a bit of a flippin' numpty though in fairness.

Ah I quite like Daddy Pig.. although it's weird hearing "his" voice in some insurance/travel ad lately

It does have a lot of humour/asides for the adults which is actually quite funny... Ben and Holly is even better in that regard.

These days its things like Transformers Rescue Bots (nowhere near as good as Transformers Prime but he's a bit young for that), PJ Masks (bloody catchy theme tune), Octonauts (watchable) and Justin Time (not so much)

In a few years I'll introduce him to some classic 80s/90s cartoons but I can't wait for the day I can introduce him to proper films like Die Hard, Predator, The Running Man and so on :) Plus there's all the cool toys to think of in the meantime :p

One thing my little fella picked up on was the "bossy boots" thing when Susie Sheep and Peppa fell out. He still uses that one occasionally when told to do something he doesn't want to

Mummy Pig is voiced by Morwenna Banks, married to David Baddiel.

I like the Big Balloon song.

Daddy pig is voiced by the same guy that voiced Dungeon Keeper 2.

Also Peppa has been replaced by Paw Patrol in our house.

Nanny Plum is brilliant in Ben & Holly. I loved the Mutiny on the Bunty episode as well.

The Peppa episode when she's trying to learn to whistle is hilarious as well. It's harmless and by and large the kids learn a lot from them.

Fireman Sam drives me mad. Between Elvis the gob****e and the poxy kid with the accent that would go through your head. Also the new Bob the Builder is crap. The young lad who helps him should be locked up for criminal negligence.

The one where they make a Nanny Plum doll which the elves then mass produce is excellent :p Wise Old Elf is a great character too.

Agree on Sam.. shyte - although the earlier pre-computer animation ones were very different from what I've seen.

Bob the Builder was a passing phase.. cost me a fortune in toys though! :)

Love the one where Mr Wolf comes around and asks Daddy Pig "what's your house made of" to which he replies "brick and don't even think about it"

I get to spend a whole day at Peppa Pig World in Southampton next week.

I think I laughed out loud the time peppa couldn't whistle and she phoned her friend, peppa was all happy that her friend couldn't whistle either, until her friend did whistle and peppa just hung up the phone on her.

I've got my 2 year old into watching scooby doo and danger mouse, two of my favourites from childhood.

Yea it's those sort of asides that make me laugh. Clearly the writers know that parents are gonna be watching this stuff endlessly as well so they put some things in there that go over the kids heads completely.

Mr Fox stalking Grandpa Pig's hen house at night was another one.

I have to say, myself and the husband fall around the place laughing when this scene comes on where king Thistle is trying to get out a magic door and the door starts the clue "If two planes are going up a hill" - can't remember it - impossible maths question anyway and king thistle listens to the whole lot before just going "um....maybe there's another way out?"

I'm a big fan of the wise old elf - he's so flippin straight and narrow and then you find out his two sons are a pirate and a viking!! Brilliant!

The episode where the Wise Old Elf and Nanny Plum swap jobs for the day is another classic.

There's no doubt people reading this thread going WTF are you lot watching? :p but some of it is just brilliant writing.

Peppa hanging up the phone abruptly when she realises Suzy sheep is able to whistle when she can't is a favorite of mine.

Wise Old Elf doing magic at magic school and losing the run of himself is a good un too, magic alway leads to trouble.

Brian Blessed as Grandpa rabbit is class that voice is unbelievable
Fav scene is when daddy pig answers the phone to some one speaking In a language he doesn't understand and says its someone talking nonsense, then mummy pig takes the phone has a chat and explains to daddy pig it's French to which he replies " told you it was nonsense " British ignorance at its best

Does anyone else think that Peppa pig is a spolit little twisted ghoul bag?

Hey she's just a little kid, leave her alone.

There an episode where they go camping and Daddy Pig brings a TV and starts watching a nature documentary. A bird then lands on top which he shoos away. Genius.

Ben and Holly edges it though, from the elves' industrial operation in running the chicken farm, to the dynamics of Nanny Plum's relationship with the Wise Old Elf, it's always my goto early on a Saturday morning.

Yeah you know their on to something when on a Sunday morning the kids want to watch rescue bots and your telling them to f?!k off because your watching Ben and holly or peppa pig

You know you have a problem when on a Sunday evening your partner wants to watch Game of Thrones and you're telling then to f?!k off because you're watching Ben and Holly. :)

There another brilliant episode that revolves around Nanny Plum always knowing when it's nearly lunchtime because her tummy begins to rumble. This upsets the sensibilities of the Wise Old Elf who relies on the empirical correctness of the Great Elf Clock to keep elves on time. He keeps it synchronized with the distant bells each evening, but they turn out to be
the dinner bell being rung by Nanny Plum based on her rumbling tummy.

I can't tell of the spoiler alert was necessary... Ben & Holly forum request anybody?
