Claiming VAT back on a self build

Hi im currently starting to build my own house and was wondering is there anyway we can claim some of the VAT back on all the building materials we are purchasing. Thanks

Are you VAT registered?

How does the VAT you have incurred relate to you business? If this is a house for your own private use, you can't claim back
