i was thinking it might not of been to do with them when i heard the guards called to the new inla mans home in ballymun an hour after it i was thinking it could of been an internal thing but still you wouldnt know with his connections to gareth hutches killers

yea true i dont think hes going to make a recovery now anyway no matter who shot him one in the face neck chest stomach and arm should be to much to come back from. If it was the guy from the hutch side id suspect he would of put some in his head to make sure like hes done in his other hits. Yea saying he was at a meeting in portland row a few hours after it as if it was proof is laughable the media are hoping its hitch related because they will have weeks worth of stories for it. Its not been linked really to any crime group though except saying it might of been the hutch gang or to do with the inla extortion rackets whats the betting they will have a sunday exclusive now with who killed him

Nah, not true. The pub was in Cabra, buy he wasn't there at the time of the shooting. He smacked a fella in it around 30 minutes before the shooting, however. Belief is he wasn't able to get to the Red Cow in time.

why would he be heading to the red cow though if there was already a driver and gunman there to do the job? or was he supposed to be providing a second getaway car? can you tell us anything about the article in the star the other day about a hitman been caught with a gun outside the mgm in marbella apparently been after a top level cartel member

Mr Douglas had been involved in an altercation in the pub half an hour, approximately, before the incident with the Volvo at the Red Cow. At the time of the previous attack on him, gardai had no idea he was targeted by the Kinahans. They did know about the incident had had in the pub a few days before he was shot. If you recall the November attack on mr Douglas, there was some media speculation that it may have been connected to that incident in the pub. It wasn't, but, anyway, the cops had him on CCTV there. So they did the maths and worked out it was highly unlikely he could have got to the Red Cow in time.
But, in a way, that's irrelevant. The Kinahans obviously don't have the same knowledge base as the cops. And they don't have to prove anything. They had (dodgy) intel that he was involved and decided to act on it. So it would not appear he was central to the Red Cow but, as I have written previously, they also had a suspicion from them that he sourced the weapon involved in the attack. It was a special sort of revolver. Quite rare.

I was away, so didn't actually see what was written in the paper, although i was aware of the information they had.
The man was arrested close to the MGM gym with a pistol. A day before DK's birthday. Spanish cops are all over the place there at the moment.

But we did.

You have to go with what you hear. For example, we continually linked the Darren Kearns murder to the Kinahans, but no other paper did. They only changed their mind after Mr Douglas was killed.
Just because no other paper has it doesn't mean it's not true.
