VW UK warranty

Does anyone know if the VW warranty on new UK cars (3 years) is honoured by VW Ireland? Looking at a 1 year old car.

they only match what the Irish warranty is

If the car can be driven there's nothing to stop you nipping over the border with it if you had to. Not ideal but an option all the same.

irish (below) and UK warranties appear identical so that would suggest a 1 year old car would be good for another 2 years here.

"Three-year manufacturer's warranty

From personal experience the 3rd year will definitely be covered in NI if not down here, once you can get the car to them.
