Hey ladies, Af arrived yesterday, day 24/5 of cycle and then stopped already. Cycles are haywire. Think I might see the gp get checked again properly and do bloods again. So frustrating not knowing what's going on!
    Congrats jen on the bfp!!!

Just heard this advertised on the radio this morning.....

    http://beaconcarefertility.ie/fertility-information-events/

It's a free information evening at the Beacon Fertility Clinic. It may be a bit premature for some of us here but I'm thinking of going nonetheless. You just email them to reserve a place.

I've gotten the print out of my bloods so think I might bring those with me just in case........

I head that advertised on the radio, I'm kinda interested too but we started initial tests in Merrion Fertility (even though I really didn't like the Doc we met) so think I will just stick with them although I am very curious. I keep hearing so many media reports about women having difficulties conceiving. Those who have no problems don't know how lucky they are.

Sorry to hear you are out applesock.
Scouse was it definitely af? Maybe implantation bleeding?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 299 ✭✭applesock

thanks Ruailebuile , i just knew this month wasn't mine so the hopes weren't even up.

I planning taking a break this month , altogether. So will start back August / Sept, i need a break mentally more than anything.
Where are people getting their ovulation sticks? any links , i plan on using them when i try again. Has anyone used Angus Cactus was reading a good bit about it last night, but just not sure.

I just got them on amazon. They are called One Step I think.

I get mine on accessdiagnostics.com. Ebay is also pretty good for cheapie tests.

Applesock, if you do a search on the old chat thread for Agnus Castus, I'm pretty sure a couple of members tried it. If you are taking fertility meds though, avoid it as it can interfere with those.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 299 ✭✭applesock

Thanks Neyite , i will check them out.

Yeah i was reading some old forums, which is were i came across it. Im just not 100% sure about it , some say take all the time , others before you ovulate. I'm not on any fertility med.
I think I'm going to try temping. But for now I'm going to enjoy my summer, because this TCCing has gotten me too stressed out.

Honestly applesock I cannot recommend temping enough! I wasn't even mad strict with it - just took my temp whenever I woke up and it's amazing to see the pattern show. After a few cycles you'll learn your pattern. I did this and when I got my dip I would use the OPK as backup.
Plus it's soooo much cheaper than buying the OPK every month!

I'm exactly the same as you. AF arrived this evening. Not even disappointed or surprised anymore. We are away on hols in two weeks time so just going to relax and totally enjoy the time away and not concentrate on TTC.

I heard about this too, attended Sharon Moss there a few years ago she is vtilliant. Dh has no interest as we aren't trying long rnough. If we're still trying I'll go to the next one. Let us know how it goes

Too heavy for implantation bleeding I'd say. Although very odd altogether. Very light and no flow do who knows.

Congratulations Jen. Can't recommend the beacon enough. Seeing Dr Moss myself finding her excellent! AF just over i think. Was quite down about its arrival this month

Have some spotting today so I'd say that's probably the start of AF (only about 3 weeks late grrr)

I'm on my second month of Clomid and had my 12 day scan on Tuesday but the follicle wasn't the right size yet. Have to go back tomorrow when they'll hopefully give me the trigger injection. Only problem is I have a hen at the weekend so I have to try and fit in sex between finishing work on Friday and leaving for the hen without telling my husband why I'm so eager to jump his bones (because he gets all stressed if he knows we're in the conception window).

On top of that I've had 3 ultrasounds and none of them could find my left ovary!

    Why is life so complicated!

Aw bee that must be really stressful! Maybe you could play it off as you won't be seeing him for the weekend and you wanna get in some sexy time before you go? You could maybe send him a couple of flirty texts during the day to set the mood (who needs wine and candles :pac:)

You are leaving for a hen weekend. Naturally you'll miss him lots and want to give him something to smile about while you're gone...;)

Just popping in to say the only thing we changed the month we conceived our little girl was I took AC up until ovulation. Possibly a coincidence but it was our 18th cycle trying

Did you take the 20 drops twice a day and then stop completely after ovulation?

:) It's more the getting out of work but that's stressing me. No guarantee of getting out at a reasonable hour unfortunately.

Have to get over the first step first and hope they can find my left ovary so they will give me the trigger shot tomorrow or else it won't matter.

Thats exactly what I did - I couldn't find anything reputable saying it was ok after conception

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 260 ✭✭Scousemouse83

Fingers crossed Bee! If so just say you will miss him! No pressure there!

I'm up the walls, so unwell last night with tummy and leg cramps, very similar to when I was pregnant. Negative hpt this pm so not that. Between the cramps so boobs and nearly non existent Af haven't a clue what's happening

Hey ladies! Just popping in to say hi- took a few weeks break as I was getting obsessively stressed about this Ttc stuff so no forums for me :) started my accupuncture. Had a consultation 2 weeks ago and he spent an hour with me going through every aspect of my cycle an reviewing my temps etc. he thinks I have poor quality lining due to v light periods, bad cramping and (sorry tmi) the amount of clots and dark/old blood that my period consists of. Back to him this eve cd2 and he did some work to improve blood flow and clear out all the old blood. Also gave me Chinese herbal tabs to promote blood movement. It's all quite interesting and enjoyable so at least I've something new to focus on!

Babydust to all of ye xxxx

Awh, babydust to you too. It sounds like the acupuncture is a very good route to take and you have such the right attitude to step back from the stress and focus on something else. Keep us posted as to how it's going and thanks for sharing x

Did you go to a specific acupuncturist (is that a word?!) that deals with fertility issues or will any random one do? Thinking of giving it a go myself but don't see any in my area as being recommended for fertility by anyone. Thanks and best of luck with it. I know what you mean about becoming obsessed. Those CB OPKs are costing me a fortune, I might be better off spending it on acupuncture and sticking to the cheapies!
