Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone on here has had or is planning a wedding at Renvyle house? I love Renvyle and have stayed many times but have never been to a wedding there.
I know the food is amazing but is it the same standard for weddings? What was the venue like to deal with? Any info good or bad would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, we got married there over two years ago. I had stayed in many hotels both 4 star and 5 star through work and it's the only venue I considered. I didn't want a castle or chandeliers with massive rooms or a spa hotel, such hotels didn't suit us. As you have stayed there I don't have to sell the uniqueness of Renvyle to you. The food quality is maintained if not improved for weddings. We had lovely compliments about the food.

We had our ceremony in the hotel, I wanted a relaxed informal atmosphere. The food and the band were my only concerns when planning the wedding and we were delighted with both. Feel free to pm me with any questions. I put up a post about Renvyle before but it was taken down by the mods as they thought I was associated with it. I'm not!

We are just back from a weekend there funnily enough. There was a wedding on, an American and German couple I think, all the guests seemed to love it.

Obviously, one of the negatives is the distance involved as it takes 3 and a half hours from Dublin for example, but passing through the Inagh valley and by Kylemore Abbey is a stunning drive.

Thanks for your lovely reply Angeleyes. You sound like you have a love for the place too. It really is wonderful. Great to hear that the standard of the weeding meal was on par if not better than usual. We would also be looking at having our ceremony at the hotel.

On our list so far is Renvyle and Rosleague manor. Both beautiful places but I am thinking that Renvyle might be more 'us'!

We are in the very early stages of planning but when it starts getting more real I would love to PM you for any tips or answers to questions. Thanks a mill!

We loved Rosleague, but it was too small for our numbers.
Went to Renvyle house to a friend's wedding. I only went to the afters, but from other heard that the food was very good. It was around xmas time and must say the atmosphere in the place was amazing. The place was all wedding guests and it felt really intimate. Really loved it as an evening guest.

Was at a weeding in Renvyle a good few years ago, actually it was about 10 years ago. Amazing venue loved it. It does take forever to get there but it when you get there you can't help but relax, as you feel so removed from 'the real world'/ Food was absolutely amazing both for the wedding meal, other dinner we had there. The breakfasts, oh my god, I'll never forget those scrambled eggs!! Would highly recommend.
