These giveaways have ended, all keys attached to steam gifts so you can get your keys there.

I don't see the key... on the won page?

So, Andrew76 gifted me Momodora III, and I offered something in return, but he declined. So here it is instead:

    Two more:

The first one's open to level 1+, while the second is level 2+.

Completed both of these and really enjoyed them, particularly Fez which I thought was awesome.

Sorry I've never attached the keys to the giveaways before, didn't know I had to do something after the draw had ended.
You should be able to see it now

I'd probably bump that up to 100 posts and maybe 6 months since three months and 50 posts isn't much.

Also maybe people who have a decent giveaway ratio, as in not just take take take as some people never do giveaways but enter every giveaway they can and just leech.

The post count/membership time limit hasn't really been an issue, there's only been maybe two or three people who asked for access that didn't meet the criteria.

As regards contributor level, that's been at each persons own discretion and seems to be working that way too.

I base it off the value and why I'm giving it away, general games are Level 1, more valuable stuff specifically for the group is level 2. No need in Level 3 or higher IMO, at that stage its more about your numbers than giving stuff away

I think one of the requirements of joining the group should be to set up a giveaway also. Its a great way to get started rather than just sitting there.

    (Apologies for the discussion)

It would be nice if everyone started off with a giveaway, but there's several hundred in the group, and with a wide spectrum of ability to buy games, I would not be inclined to enforce a rule like that.

Plus equally anyone could obtain free/cheap keys for a token giveaway to meet that criteria.

Don't think that's necessary at all, personally.

Does anyone else think that setting levels for the giveaways within Steam Gifts is better? If someone wants everyone to enter they can set it to 0, if not just raise it to your preferred level, it's their giveaway afterall.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,125 ✭✭✭mordeith

As a new member who has entered two draws so far I would have no objection to the level setting. As I have yet to create my own giveaway I feel that a level restriction is perfectly fair. I don't feel I should be able to enter each and every contest without contributing first.
