Syncing Facebook contacts to phone contacts. (Without rooting)

    It used to be so easy. Link your contacts and then whenever they rang their profile picture came up. Now I'm running around in circles trying to see where the sync options are. Google hasn't helped much. Anyone here have a suggestion?
    The phone is an Xperia Z5 running 6.0.1

    I'm using a app called Sync.ME Works perfectly although was a bit of a battery drainer but if you turn off all the extra features in it its fine.

    It's not possible anymore just using standard FB functionality and Android.
    Did a lot of searching a while back and found it confirmed somewhere in FB support.

    Might be worth trying the app mentioned above

    Just moved over from Windows Phone to Android and cannot believe this! Read a bit about the Sync.ME app and sounds like it can use battery up.

    Is there any other solution out there? What do people do otherwise? Just manually update them over time or is the norm to leave them blank? Can you even pull profile pics from other stuff like Whatsapp?

    Any photos I have of contacts are ones that get pulled from that contacts Google account.
    Go to https://contacts.google.com and make sure all your contacts have their Gmail address in their profile. That's the best you can do without a 3rd party app.

    This is also assuming that your mates have uploaded a profile to their google account.
