I assume you'retalking about the IRA? The only thing the IRA had to offer its members was life imprisonment or death. They said so themselves. I doubt the people who took up on that offer were cowards.

You couldn't describe getting drunk and/or high and driving a car loaded with explosives into a packed shopping area before scurrying away like a rat courageous though, could you, in all honesty.
    Or maybe YOU could?

    No your incorrect
The Ombudsman Nuala O'Loan commissioned a report into that slur and found it to be completely with no basis whatsoever.

    You are mentally ill.

Good old Jarry is terrorist garbage that we have to pretend to take seriously because everyone that matters pretty much got tired of the Northern Irish problem, decided it wasn't worth any more peoples lives and let him and his ilk (on both sides) play at being politicians with no real chance of them ever making any decisions that matter to normal people because they are morons.

    He's a punchline.

If we were a more hardline country, the man and all his associates would be in the ground instead of the Dail.

Think of Bloody Friday, Belfast. Lots of innocent shoppers murdered by IRA bombs. Just one example/ Not that anyone was a member or leader of PIRA in Belfast at the time.

At least he advocates peace now, I'll say that for him. He is not hated as much as he used to be. Good reason for that.

I doubt you even know there's more than one IRA. Here's a bit of education for you. The Provisional IRA was the main IRA in the troubles, the rest were splinter groups/scumbags. The real ira carried out that attack after the peace agreement in NI.

She couldn't find any evidence means it couldn't be true?

Didn't she tend to an injured British soldier too, which helped sign her death warrant?

If we were more a hardline country martin mcguinness would be president. Another clueless tree hugger.

I've just been looking at your posting history and I don't need an education on Irish history from someone who addresses other posters as "mate".

Why do you think people hate Gerry Adams?

It's all his internet fanboys that I hate.

Can we talk about why we hate them?

    1. They think Gerry Adams is a good person, deep, deep, deep down.
    2. They make excuses for his part in the murder of innocent people.
    3. They give him their votes, disrespecting the lawful institutions of government on both sides of the border and what they stand for.
    4. They troll political fora, hoping to have him cast as a misrepresented moderate so they can keep making excuses on his behalf.
    5. They attribute the 'peace' to him, instead of to the peoples of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Gerry Adams is a scumbag. Always was, always will be.

I've a friend who's a convicted former IRA man who continuously says Adams standing in republican society would improve considerably if he were to acknowledge being in the IRA particularly in the eyes of the families of IRA members who died and in the eyes of those who served significant sentences.

Then again if were to admit now to being a member in the eyes of the world he'd be a liar.

I think the soldier was shot / dying? Going to comfort him in his final moments was enough to sign her death warrant / enable the heavies to torture and "disappear" her, and leave her family of kids abandened to fend for themselves ?

It's more so for the young voters. Republicans will vote for him anyway he's not going to get more votes by admitting it.

In this country your innocent until proven guilty.
In your imaginary world where you've actually left your computer desk and are an IRA chief of staff, the only evidence needed to convict a mother of ten with mental health issues, is the word of a couple of drink addled teenage girls, but here in the real world that wouldn't do at all.
