That resignation was quicker than Cameron's.

"Manager resigning takes the pressure off the players"

    - Peter Crouch

    Says it all

Must not make the multi-millionaire delicate snowflakes feel like there's any pressure on them

It's a tried and tested English formula.

Might be a job there for Martin O Neill? Id imagine the pay packet is substantial.

Irish managerial spot is one of the most lucrative in international football.

    Doesn't Dennis O'Brien subsidise it?

You have a real chip on your shoulder about them.

They obviously care a lot. They know what the result means. They know the abuse they will get from scumbags. Don't be daft.

Jaysus that's some package. 20 million he's earned.

Pretty sure he was highest paid international football manager as well.

It has to be high with the pressure of managing that team and the expectations.

To think that we could have played Iceland for a place in the semi finals if we'd hung on yesterday. :(

I'm not criticising the players. I'm criticising the analysts and the lack of fervor in which they, ya know, analyse

Not just me that thinks this. Countless people have been saying the same thing for years.

The obsession with club football makes it almost impossible for them to have anything other than a luke warm opinion on international sides when they lose like this.

We wouldn't have had a hope. Would have been a very romantic fixture though.

There was no hanging on there, we were out on our feet.

Weird. Ian Wright and crouch have been laying into them.

Even over the last 2 seasons in the premier leauge there has been lots of ex players being very critical of their old teams.
I know what you mean though. A lot of the pundits would still be friends with them.

I dont expect them to give top analyse these days though.

Absolutely delighted with this. Makes up for the disappointment yesterday.

There might a good bit of money involved but I don't know why anyone would want to be manager of England

Gary Linekar just congratulated Ireland on MOTD. I think they are all completely shell shocked and have no idea what is going on in the world anymore.

The one the Icelandic fans did during the game was amazing; you know, the one the builds up to a kind of growly whoop. Powerful.

Heard some English "supporters" boo during the game and afterwards. Some supporters they are. I loathe booing, either at the opposition or at your own team; it's so childish.

    England are one dogsh!t team.

Sterling is brutal, couldn't beat eggs and is the most overpaid, useless sack of bollocks on the wing.

Hart may as well cut his arms off and stick two bricks of Weetabix on there. If a keeper in 5 a side let that in he'd be laughed out of it, was practically right down his pipe.

Gary Lineker was packaged in a protective atmosphere

It's the MSG or smoky bacon dust that's got to him
