"a protest song for the rearing of silk worms for raw silk"

I'd want that written on my headstone if I was Phil....

Ha, Psycho is on at 1.50....

RTE have such a strange schedule, just after the C&W awards....lol!

    Best film ever.

They did that in the NCH a while ago with the orchestra playing the music. Sorry i missed it.

There's a great Howard Goodall documentary on youtube about the fsmous soundtrack and why it causes so much tension. Worth a watch.

Intersting trivia, another Hitchcock masterpiece, The Birds, has no musical soundtrack at all.

The feeling is gone, only you and I, this means nothing to me ...

    Great song.

    One of Bob's finest moments.

Heard it in the NCH Donie, utterly brilliant strings to give you the creeps! It was a good while ago though on one of the movie soundtracks night orchestrated by John Wilson..

The noise of the birds in that films is just epic, the quietness of the background and just the rustling of the birds feathers would put you off feathered friends....

Just to say, if you live in or around Dublin, it's well worth getting the National Concert Hall programme and making the effort to get to a few shows.

They have some terrific performances there, and they are generously subsidised by the Government (Don't tell the Healy-Raes)

The ICMA yokey is amazing. And maybe not in the way it's meant to be.

It just makes no sense. It's like actual country music, but it has as much substance as Winning Streak.

And instead of rednecks, beer & whiskey, it's got aul wans, Jimmy Magee and Complan.

    Weird.
