As crazy as it sounds I do think they mean the original tyres. It's a low mileage bog standard 316, I hate to generalise but they don't strike me as a person who would splash out on a set of new Pirellis. The tyres look very grey and old too.

I wonder if it's on the original oil too?

What would be going threw someone's head that they could see 13 year old tyres as a selling point???

    Its dumbass logic.

"Car never needed a single part or bit of work"

This means its a great yoke, I.e. NOTHING has ever been changed, especially the fluids & filters etc.

I'm not sure that the seller stated the above text in his ad. One can only judge the car having viewed it, nothing in the ad to suggest that it has been neglected. While I would be surprised if it were on original tyres, perhaps the seller was trying to reinforce the integrity of the claimed low mileage. If it meets criteria then well done to the poster and best of luck to whom ever buys it.

The 316 is a horrible gutless thing. Poor engine design too
    1. Overheating. This problem mainly results from polluted radiator. It requires regular cleaning. Another problem is broken thermostat which needs to be replaced every 60,000 miles (100,000 km) of mileage. Valve stem seals go out of order resulting in higher motor oil consumption. Also pay attention to operation of cooling system.
    2. N42 noise. Replacement of timing chain tensioner can be efficient solution to this problem. It should be changed every 60,000 miles (100,000 km) of mileage. At the same time N42 has not very reliable timing chain. It starts making noise and stretches every 60,000 miles (100,000 km) of mileage.
Moreover BREMI ignition coils may get out of order while replacing spark plugs. If you have faced such problem you are recommended to change them on EPA ignition coils.
N42 establishes rather high requirements to motor oil. That is why you are supposed to use motor oil that is recommended by auto producer. If you use oil of lower quality it can lead to rebuild, Vanos replacement and many more.
Summing up N42 is rather technological and economic engine. At the same time it can be rather demanding. The level of its reliability is the same as in M40-M43 series and it calls for regular examination and control as well as high quality maintenance.

Oh Lord won't you buy me a Mercedes-Benz?

'07 C-class, auto, diesel. NCT 03/17. Taxed for 3 months (PSV no doubt). High miles, but still excellent value for money in my book if the car checks out. This car was made when MB were once again producing some of the most reliable cars in their markets...

€2,350 is a bit above the bangernomics budget here... :)

Bit puzzled how the driver's side driveshaft refurbished cost €300 but the new passenger driveshaft was €200?

Maybe a mention of tyre make/model and tread depth in mm or %?

    Cat looks great though, GLWS.

220CE Auto. Brand new NCT till 06/17 €1750.

Nice colour combo too, but the alloys aren't my cuppa. easily changed.

I think this is a bargain, drive a classy car for a year or two, hardly likely to depreciate if you mind it, probably appreciate in value a bit.

Did they get the electrics sorted on those (post 05) ones? If so - Great bargin indeed for a grand.
If not - grab your ankels. Tears to follow.
I can't remember when they sorted all that out.
