I have ongoing problems with my broadband connection and Eir keeps telling me to turn off my modem, turn on my modem, stick a cocktail stick in, pull out, add ethernet etc etc. Modem not broken but the signal to it is abysmal ---- I could connect up 40 times a night. I live in Maynooth area. Eir have promised me a new modem--I'm now waiting 6 weeks for it. Can anyone advise where in the home is the best place to locate a modem (please don't be rude!) and any other help much appreciated--thanks. Does Eir treat all customers like this and are they proud of their rudeness and dreadful customer service?

Plug it into the master socket.
