    Wales win the group.
Slovakia 4 points, 0 goal difference

Well that's no good for Norn Iron, or for the republic.

Not putting another cent on England for the rest of this tournament.

The up side of Wales topping the group is, is that they cannot meet France until the Final. Wallet would love either a Wales Win (E/W bet), or a France Win (Win bet).

1-0 to Germany. Northern Ireland defenders going to ground against this lot in the box is utter suicide

Germany probably won't bother bringing Neuer out in the second half. NI should be a half dozen goals down at this stage.

Is this good for us? Wasn't really paying much attention to the permutations of us getting through, I thought we were as good as gone even if we won tomorrow?

Germans really should be 3/4 up now.

Few great saves has kept Norn Iron in this.

Basically we need to win, not let in anymore goals, and hope that Czech Republic, Portugal & Sweden lose.

    Keep the faith :o

    Not even this much.

A win of any kind for us and we are through provided the Iron lose.

Iron & Albania are both 3rd in their group on 3 points. So 4 points will be enough to take us through, (even if Sweden beat Belgium we'll still be through as Belgium would then only have 3 points).

Only 2 3rd place teams won't make it, Albania & Northern Ireland are both 3rd on 3 points now. With us on a potential 4 (if we win) we would not then be in the bottom 2, and therefore through.

We only need a win now. It's in our hands.

The Germans aren't going to get a second. So, who will be the north's John O'Shea?

I don't know, but I bet he'll be from Newtownards

We can win 1-0 , 2-1, or 7-5, it won't matter, we just need to win.

Would we not still go out on goal difference though if Czech Republic & Sweden win? Would leave the 3 of us on 4 points and us with the worst goal tally

Edit: Actually wait, never mind. I need lie down after all this :pac:

Edit 2: Wait, I might be right. Isn't it only 4 3rd place teams going through ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,560 ✭✭✭✭AndyBoBandy

    Yes, there are 6 groups

2 3rd place teams only have 3 points.

If we get 4 points we'll be at least better than 2 teams, so we go through as one of the 4 3rd place teams that do go through (4 spots out of 6 groups, with Albania & Northern Ireland only on 3 points, us on hopefully 4)

But if both Iceland & Portugal win tomorrow that'll leave Hungry in 3rd place in group F on 4 points. So we'll have

    Slovakia
    Hungry
    Sweden(if they win)
    Czech Republic(if they win)

Ireland doesn't get a look in even with 4 points :/

If Sweden win then Belgium will be on only 3 points.
4 points will enough for Ireland.

Looking forward to Spain v Croatia. Hopefully some of those Croat supporters don't try to make another holy show of themselves as a 'protest'

Heard that fans had an attack planned for the 30th minute. Whilst I like Croatia, expect lengthy sactions if this turns out to be true and something happens.

Edit. Spain a goal up. Tonights accum looks like paying out.

That Spanish jersey is fairly rotten!!
