    Teams:

Northern Ireland (4-5-1): McGovern; Hughes, McAuley, Cathcart, J Evans; Ward, C Evans, Davis, Norwood, Dallas; Washington.

Germany (4-2-3-1): Neuer; Kimmich, Boateng, Hummels, Hector; Khedira, Kroos; Ozil, Muller, Gotze; Gomez.

Gomez comes in to the starting XI for the Germans which is interesting.

    I'll go for a German win but I don't anticipate a thrashing.

A German win knocks N Ireland out and guarentees us a best third place if we beat Italy and Sweden fail to beat Belgium.

    Correct?

German win and us win guarantees us third regardless of Sweden-Belgium.

    Correct?

A win against Italy guarantees at least 3rd place for us.
If Sweden dont beat Belgium we would have 4 points and Sweden would have either 1 or 2 points.
If Sweden beat Belgium, we would have 4 points and Belgium would finish bottom on 3 points

No. Only way we are out tonight for certain is if we're beaten by 4 clear goals, otherwise we'll be waiting until tomorrow night to find out.

Ah jaysus, great campaign for you so! Can't see the Germans scoring more than 2.

Didi Hamann was saying he gets the sense that the Germans want to win the game but not go for a huge win.

Team news for Ukraine vs Poland, for anyone interested:

Ukraine: Pyatov, Fedetskiy, Khacheridi, Kucher, Butko, Rotan, Stepanenko, Yarmolenko, Zinchenko, Konoplyanka, Zozulya.

Poland: Fabianski, Cionek, Glik, Pazdan, Jedrzejczyk, Zielinski, Jodlowiec, Krychowiak, Kapustka, Milik, Lewandowski.

Basically a win (:pac:) guarantees us through. A draw (4 points) pretty much guarantees us through, a team with 4 points not making it would have to be incredibly unfortunate.

Any sort of loss it comes down to goal difference, except if we're beaten by 4 in which case we'd drop below Albania and be out.

If we lose 1-0 tonight and Turkey beat Czech Republic by less than 4 goals (or draw) then we're through.

Do the Germans even have to win this one? They know they will face Switzerland if they finish second in the group which will hardly cause them to lose any sleep. A draw not out of the question.

They just have to not lose, but I suspect they'll want to top the group.

They want to win the group, to avoid Spain in the quarters (assuming Spain tops their group). First in this group will most likely Slovakia in the next round and Italy in Quarters. Second in the group will face the Swiss in next round, and most likely Spain in the quarters.

A draw will be enough for you as it will see you topping the 3rd place table with just 3 groups to be completed, guaranteeing you at least 4th place in that table

Going to be a long evening for the North I fear

Should be 3 at this point. Some laugh if NI scored now.

Referee is outrageously bias to Germany for me. Giving the niggly ones against NI but never giving them for.

Not happened for Müller in this tournament. Still time though.

Ireland had that vs Belgium...not that it would have prevented them losing though!
